2012 Alternatives Public Workshops

The purpose of the Alternatives Public Workshops is to discuss proposed roadway(s) and river crossing(s) over the Little Missouri River. The project consists of analyzing alternatives to provide a vehicular transportation link between ND Highway 16 and US Highway 85 to provide for the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce through promotion of a reliable transportation system within Billings County.  The meetings were held:

  • Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Kelly Inn, 1800 N 12th St, Bismarck, ND
  • Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (MDT) at the ND Cowboy Hall of Fame, 250 Main St, Medora, ND

The Open House was conducted by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), ND Department of Transportation (NDDOT), Billings County and Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson, Inc. (KL&J).  Representatives from the FHWA, NDDOT, Billings County and KL&J were on hand to answer questions and discuss concerns from the public.

These workshops are designed to allow for public input which is required for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970 and National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
